Job: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: West Yorkshire
Salary: £60,000-£65,000 per annum plus benefits

The Opportunity:
Our client is a leading civil engineering contractor, and due to contract success they are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team in Yorkshire. With a strong reputation for delivering infrastructure projects within the area, this is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale civil engineering projects and contribute to their continued growth.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage all commercial and contractual aspects of projects, ensuring value is maximized, risks are mitigated, and cash flow is maintained.
  2. Oversee the delivery process from pre-construction to post-construction, collaborating with internal teams (site, operations, finance, commercial) and external stakeholders.
  3. Review and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  4. Mentor and support trainee and assistant quantity surveyors, fostering their professional development.
  5. Engage with tendering, budgeting, and reporting processes to support project success.

Requirements:

  1. Strong background in civil engineering with at least 10 years' experience or a relevant degree in Quantity Surveying.
  2. Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, including Waste Water, Structures, or Highways (preferred).
  3. Sound understanding of NEC, contract terms, cash flow management, and value maximization.
  4. Effective communicator, capable of liaising with stakeholders at all levels.
  5. Demonstrable leadership and mentoring experience.
