Job description

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Primary Teacher with a background in Special Educational Needs (SEN) to join a Folkestone-based school, focusing primarily on morning sessions. This role involves delivering targeted interventions for small groups of around 5 students, working to enhance early learning skills and provide additional support where needed. The ideal candidate will have experience in both EYFS and SEN, along with a passion for nurturing young learners in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Responsibilities of Primary Teacher (SEN):

1. Plan and deliver small-group interventions for Primary students, focusing on foundational skills in a structured yet engaging way.
2. Provide individual support to students with specific learning needs, helping them build confidence and progress in their learning journey.
3. Adapt teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and SEN requirements.
4. Work closely with SEN coordinators, support staff, and families to track and support student development.
5. Create a warm, nurturing, and positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and growth.

Requirements of Primary Teacher (SEN):

1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in Primary and SEN.
2. Proven track record of delivering interventions and small-group work, particularly with SEN students.
3. Strong understanding of early childhood development and SEN support.
4. Availability for morning sessions.
