Electrical Maintenance Engineer
£51,000

12hr Shifts - 4 On / 4 Off

Our client is a leading manufacturer that values hard work, teamwork, and developing people. They are part of a large national group with multiple sites in the UK and are looking for an experienced electrical biased shift engineer to join the team.


Role & Responsibilities:
  1. Carry out planned preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance of all high-speed production & packaging machinery.
  2. Work on control panels, HMi's, PLC's, SCADA Systems.
  3. Electrical & mechanical fault finding, problem solving and repairs.
  4. Continuous improvement projects.
  5. Dealing with motors, VSD's, servo drives, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, inverters.
  6. Mechanical fabrication, fitting, welding.
  7. Upkeep and alteration of electrical & mechanical drawings.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  1. Must be an electrically biased engineer.
  2. NVQ Level 3 electrical engineering or maintenance minimum.
  3. 17th Edition.
  4. Must have worked in some form of fast-paced / manufacturing industry.
  5. Strong electrical & mechanical problem-solving skills.
  6. Knowledge of PLC's, automation & control systems, HMi's.
  7. Continuous improvement mentality.
  8. Willingness to help in all areas of the team.
  9. Worked on motors, inverters, VSD's, sensors, switches, pneumatics, gearboxes.
