Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor


About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking to further their career in quantity surveying, working on a variety of construction projects across multiple sectors. The role involves supporting senior quantity surveyors in delivering cost management and commercial services while ensuring financial efficiency throughout project lifecycles.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
  2. Conduct on-site measurements and valuations.
  3. Support in assessing and managing project costs to ensure profitability.
  4. Assist in preparing and reviewing contracts, variations, and final accounts.
  5. Conduct financial reporting and risk analysis.
  6. Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  7. Support in identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving financial efficiencies.
  8. Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

  1. A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  2. 1-3 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry (preferred).
  3. Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  4. Proficiency in relevant software such as MS Excel, CostX, or similar estimating tools.
  5. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  6. A proactive and detail-oriented approach to work.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
