Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant

Location: Shrewsbury
Salary: £84 - £95 per day

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team in Walsall.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Needs (SEMH), helping them overcome barriers to learning. You will play a key role in re-engaging students, building positive relationships, and implementing behaviour management strategies to create a supportive learning environment.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs
  • A proactive and confident approach to behaviour management
  • The ability to develop and implement tailored strategies to support student engagement
  • A collaborative mindset to work closely with teachers and support staff
  • A background in psychology, counselling, social work, or a related field (desirable but not essential)
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques or a willingness to learn
  • Team Teach training or previous SEMH experience is highly desirable
