Job description

This is a remote role (UK-based), with travel required at least once a month to our Head Office in New Malden, our Claims Operations Centre in Sheffield, as well as to our nationwide panel of suppliers.

About Homeprotect

We founded Homeprotect on a simple principle - to provide protection to people underserved by the home insurance industry.

We're experts at insuring people who want to build or buy a unique property, renovate, rent a home or leave it unoccupied. We can cover people who travel a lot, run a business from home or even collect rare treasures. We protect people who love living in a listed building, having a view of a river or sunbathing on a flat roof.

Our smart tech enables our customers to get an instant, online quote to cover a huge range of complex needs, and our UK customer support teams are on hand to provide information and support when only a real person will do.

Our insurance has already empowered hundreds of thousands of people to protect their homes and the things they love. But we're not content with being the leading provider of ‘non-standard' insurance. We believe there's no such thing as ‘standard'. We are all unique and deserve home insurance tailored to our individual needs, which our combination of real people and smart tech enables us to deliver.

Our simple promise? Whoever you are and wherever you live, with Homeprotect we've got you covered.

What It's Like To Work Here

Our customers come from all walks of life, and so do our people. We're a small but dynamic team, comprising insurance industry specialists, technologists, data scientists, and customer and marketing professionals from diverse backgrounds. We bring individual expertise, a passion for innovation, and a shared ambition to empower people to protect their homes and possessions.

We work in a fast-paced environment where change is constant. We embrace hybrid and sometimes fully remote working, providing flexibility to our teams to choose their work location and hours, focusing on outputs rather than where work is done. Occasional team gatherings may be required, but autonomy is key.

We are proud to be recognized externally as a Great Place to Work for five consecutive years.

Key Responsibilities

As part of our growth, we are revamping our Supply Chain management to achieve excellent claims outcomes and market-leading cost control. We are expanding the team with three new roles to develop and execute our revamped strategy and processes.

The responsibilities include:

  • Supplier Management: Managing supplier relationships, performance reviews, continuous improvement, issue resolution, and complaints.
  • Performance Oversight: Monitoring, reporting, and managing supplier performance against metrics, working with leadership to improve claims outcomes.
  • Sourcing: Leading supplier selection, requirements gathering, negotiations, and contracting, including SLAs.
  • Onboarding: Collaborating with Operations, Transformation, and Customer teams to onboard suppliers effectively.
