Newcastle City Council is seeking Cleaners to join their Facility Services team. This role offers 10 hours of work per week, with responsibilities including cleaning various areas and ensuring high standards of cleanliness. No prior experience is required as full training will be provided, making it an excellent opportunity for reliable and friendly individuals.

Newcastle City Council is currently seeking reliable and friendly individuals with a positive attitude to join our Facility Services team as Cleaners. No prior experience is necessary as full training will be provided.
Working as part of a team and using your initiative, your daily duties will include cleaning designated areas such as corridors, classrooms, offices, and toilet areas using the required equipment. Responsibilities include emptying bins, mopping, and vacuuming floors, often under fixed deadlines. Regular stooping, bending, and lifting will be required. Candidates should have a basic understanding of written and spoken English due to the use of chemicals.
Facility Services and Civic Management operate across the city and Gateshead, providing building cleaning, caretaking, school meals, and welfare catering services. We have a large team of Cleaners, Cleaner Supervisors, Facility Supervisors (Caretakers), Catering Assistants, Assistant Chefs, and Chefs working various hours and shifts in schools and public buildings.
