A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Quality Assurance Engineering professional to join the Product Assurance Equipment Engineering team supporting a variety of Electronic Equipment in Development.

All applicants must be able to obtain Security Clearance and be a sole / dual British national.

Working: The role is office-based with occasional travel to other company sites in the UK. Office site presence is expected 2/3 days onsite, depending on project needs.

This opportunity provides the chance to play a pivotal role within an established Product Assurance team embedded within Electronic Engineering, ensuring all core Product Assurance activities are met. The role involves working closely with Major project Product Assurance Managers across the business, preventing/minimising product non-conformance, supporting smooth Equipment delivery, assuring reliable products, and increasing Customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, contribute to, and maintain Equipment Quality planning documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Electronic Engineering BMS procedures.
  • Plan, carry out, and manage actions for Product Life Cycle reviews.
  • Manage Product Non-Conformance, facilitate its process, support defect investigations, and provide data analysis and reports for management reviews.
  • Identify, communicate, and mitigate Quality risks and issues for in-house equipment to reduce risk and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in engineering process improvements and conduct local audits, providing compliance and process improvement ideas.
  • Plan and facilitate quality-focused micro training to enhance quality awareness, efficiencies, and competencies within the engineering team and site facilities, with opportunities for learning and development.

Skills, Qualification, and Experience

  • Ideally minimum HNC/HND in Engineering or Quality Assurance, or substantial relevant experience.
  • Experienced quality professionals, preferably within Electronic Engineering, with a proven track record in Quality Assurance.
  • Practitioner of current QA problem-solving and improvement methods (8D, RCA, DMAIC, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of the product lifecycle, especially in development.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to run reports in Excel, use SAP QM system, and document management tools.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and initiative to deliver enhancements.
  • Bonus: Up to £2,500 (performance-based).
