Job description

The Opportunity

To manage the Company's resources to achieve a successful outcome, Technically, Commercially, Safely and to the Client's Satisfaction on the project.

What you will be doing

  1. Manage all Engineering Services activities in line with the company IPCD.
  2. Ensure the safe and efficient execution of the project in line with company IPCD.
  3. Manage all Engineering Services activities in line with the Project Process Document.
  4. Manage the resources on the project on a day-to-day basis and report any staff issues as appropriate.
  5. Manage project commercial issues and cost reporting (WIP).
  6. Identify the clients' requirements and ensure we deliver these requirements to the clients’ satisfaction.
  7. Represent the company on any internal or external issues.
  8. Prepare detailed plans and procedures to administer the project and ensure the project team are familiar with and follow these guidelines.
  9. Manage all project reporting provided upstream and downstream on a timely manner.
  10. Regularly audit the project to ensure compliance.
  11. Communicate with the project team regularly on project-specific matters and company initiatives.
  12. Manage the project cash flow to be positive throughout the life of the project.
  13. Manage procurement and achieve best value for Engineering Services.
  14. Identify all risks and manage actions and implementation to mitigate such risks.

What we will need from you

  1. HVAC and electrical bias
  2. Managing a project team to reach completion within budget and to programme.
  3. Programme production and management
  4. Interpret the requirements of the specification
  5. Resolve any technical queries during the contract
  6. Managing procurement, labour, and sub-contractors.
  7. Assisting in managing variation accounts
  8. Assisting in preparing monthly applications
  9. Construction management and liaising with the supervision team
  10. Site operations – installation and commissioning
  11. Maintaining good working relationships with the client and professional team.
  12. Stakeholder engagement and management
  13. Controlling contract costs and variations.
  14. Value engineering projects to create cost savings.
  15. Co-ordinating M&E Services installations
  16. All health and safety requirements during the contract including compiling method statements and risk assessments
  17. Compilation and presentation of Operating & Maintenance Manuals
  18. Contract values ranging from £2m and above
  19. Healthcare experience

Skills and Qualifications

  1. Degree: BEng (Hons) Building Services Engineering – preferable
  2. BTEC HND Building Services – preferable
  3. BTEC: HNC Building Services – essential
  4. BTEC: ONC Building Services – essential
  5. IOSH directing safely - preferable
  6. CSCS card – essential
  7. SMSTS course – preferable
  8. Computer Skills - MS Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel.
