About Our Client

Our client is a UK-based specialist bank focused on providing loans to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), particularly those involved in property investment and development. Our client offers commercial mortgages, business savings accounts, and financing solutions tailored to support SME growth. The bank operates with a digital-first approach, delivering efficiency and customer-centric services.

Job Description

  1. Collaborate with the Treasury team to manage the Bank's capital adequacy and drive strategic capital planning, including future injections and innovative capital strategies.
  2. Lead the preparation of the ICAAP, partnering with the Head of Treasury to craft robust contingency plans and ensure resilience.
  3. Play a key role in developing and executing capital stress testing scenarios, delivering insightful analysis to support decision-making.
  4. Contribute to the evolution of the Bank's Recovery Plan and SWDP, ensuring readiness for any challenges.
  5. Present impactful reports to ALCo, showcasing results from FTP and RAROC methodologies and driving actionable insights.
  6. Champion compliance by addressing actions from Compliance and Internal Audit reviews, while supporting the broader CFO Finance team in achieving excellence.

The Successful Applicant

  1. Proven experience in prudential risk activities with a focus on capital risk management.
  2. Strong knowledge of banking regulations, particularly those relating to capital requirements.
  3. Hands-on expertise in developing ICAAP frameworks and documentation.
  4. Solid understanding of stress testing methodologies and scenario analysis.
  5. Proficient in capital planning and aligning strategies with regulatory expectations.
  6. Skilled in producing clear, insightful management information for ALCo reporting.
  7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, simplifying complex issues for diverse audiences.
  8. Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the capability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
