Due to the expansion plans of an existing team, my client is looking to recruit a flood modeller on a permanent basis for their Bristol office (alternatively, candidates in Sheffield or Warwick may be considered).

The recruitment is driven by an increase in workload, and they are keen to hire ASAP.

The preferred experience level is flexible, but generally around 3-4 years within a similar consultancy; however, candidates with 2 or more years of experience, as well as those with more extensive experience, will also be considered.

Main Duties:

1. Working experience with Flow/Micro Drainage, Flood Modeller Pro, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, or similar 1D-2D hydraulic modelling software.
2. Experience with hydrological software such as WINFAP4 and ReFH2.
3. Experience with GIS software like QGIS.
4. AutoCAD/Autodesk Civil 3D experience is preferred but not essential.
5. Experience with FRAs, SuDS, and Pre-Planning civils.
6. Experience in detailed drainage design and S agreements is preferred but not essential.

Required Experience/Skills:

• Experience with MicroDrainage, Flood Modeller Pro, TUFLOW, or similar 1D-2D hydraulic modelling software.
• Experience with hydrological software (primarily WINFAP4 and ReFH2).
• AutoCAD/Autodesk Civil 3D skills are advantageous.
• GIS software skills (QGIS) are advantageous.
• Experience with FRAs, SuDS, and Pre-Planning civils.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages such as Excel and Word.

Other Details - Training & Development:

You should be at or nearing chartership with a relevant professional body (e.g., CIWEM or ICE), aligned with your academic qualifications.
