Mensa ICS - Test Team Leader (TTL)

Location: Reading

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provide technical and engineering team leadership.
  2. Complete all relevant project documentation.
  3. Perform highly skilled commissioning tests on instrumentation and control apparatus according to written procedures.
  4. Carry out commissioning activities on control circuits, VSDs, AHUs, level control devices, flow control devices, temperature control devices, and pressure control devices.
  5. Supervise and execute commissioning procedures for assigned instrument/electrical tasks under guidance from the Project Commissioning Engineer.
  6. Read, interpret, and work from vendor documentation, project drawings, schematic diagrams, and equipment manuals.
  7. Analyze work problems and implement corrections to facilitate system completion.
  8. Lead technical and quality requirements on projects.
  9. Ensure adherence to company quality processes and procedures.
  10. Allocate tasks to the commissioning test team and monitor progress.
  11. Establish positive working relationships with supervision and personnel departments.
  12. Follow all safe systems of work diligently.
  13. Collaborate closely with the Project Commissioning Engineer in technical delivery and scope management.
  14. Identify project opportunities and variations.
  15. Support risk and issue management within the project commissioning team.
  16. Assist in developing project delivery strategies and planning.
  17. Provide health and safety leadership by example.

FUNCTION:

The EC&I Test Team Leader (Commissioning) is expected to:

  1. Manage site surveys as required.
  2. Lead toolbox talks within the team.
  3. Develop test specifications and testing methodologies.
  4. Create site work documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and site test documentation.
  5. Develop operational & maintenance documentation in collaboration with the project team.
  6. Supervise full integrated system testing, CFAT, SAT, and installation & calibration testing as needed.
  7. Manage observations, variations, and reworks.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous technical experience in Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control fields.
  • Experience in the Nuclear Industry.
  • Experience supervising a team of Electrical/Instrument technicians.
