A fantastic primary school in Hook is looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their mainstream team ASAP. The school is committed to creating an inclusive environment where every child can thrive, including those with SEN. They’re seeking a dedicated and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support students with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, learning difficulties, and Down syndrome.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support students in the classroom, ensuring they are fully engaged and supported according to their individual needs.
2. Adapt teaching methods to ensure students are progressing, creating an inclusive learning environment for all.
3. Take on additional responsibilities, including:
1. Covering lessons when required.
2. Collaborating with the SENCO to implement and monitor EHCPs.
3. Support students in developing essential independent living skills and accessing any sensory provisions needed.

Key Requirements:

1. Previous Teaching Assistant experience (in a mainstream primary school or specialist setting) is essential.
2. Relevant qualifications or degree are beneficial, but passion and enthusiasm are most important.
3. A strong desire to support students with SEN and help them achieve their full potential.
