Purpose

PerkinElmer is seeking an Associate General Manager - VCO. This role will be responsible for delivering profitable growth by partnering effectively with General Managers and Business Development Leaders of a key account valued at over $10M.

Responsibilities:

  1. Partner with General Managers and Business Development leaders on a $10M+ key account to drive profitable growth.
  2. Provide regular updates to senior leadership on account status and growth opportunities, including action plans to achieve results.
  3. Develop standard reporting and lead KPI and action review sessions with key stakeholders, collaborating with data analysis and delivery teams.
  4. Improve service delivery by identifying operational improvements and redesigning workflows and processes.
  5. Support new business development through detailed account planning and stakeholder mapping, focusing on cross-selling and expansion to new sites or regions.
  6. Lead the development of RFPs and proposals, crafting compelling, value-based responses in partnership with product management and senior leadership.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 8+ years of experience in value creation
  • Strong analytical skills
  • High ownership and accountability
  • Experience in operations and commercial roles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Aiming to transition into a role with P&L responsibility
  • Willing to travel to customer sites 50% or more of the time

  • Product Manager experience at a blue-chip firm
  • Leadership program experience at a blue-chip firm
  • Consultant experience at a top-tier firm
  • Experience in pharma or life sciences is preferred but not required
