Compensation: $14 - 18/hr
Reports to: Youth Director
Department: Youth and Family
Start Date: May 19 (flexible upon discussion)
End Date: August 9 (flexible upon discussion)

The Ranch Country Club is hiring enthusiastic individuals looking for a job in the fields of Recreation, Hospitality, and Child Development. Counselors can expect to receive practical, hands-on experience working with the Youth and Family Department at The Ranch Country Club. The Camp Counselor will work with the Youth Director in supervising, monitoring, and participating in all activities including but not limited to swimming, activities, arts and crafts, sports, and games. Counselors are responsible for communicating with other employees and departments in a professional, prompt, and timely manner. Camp Counselors are also responsible for the safety of all participants while performing, leading, and assisting in activities and creating an engaging environment for the Membership.

Position Requirements:
  • Preferred completion of, or working towards, a degree in Recreation, Hospitality, Education, or a related field.
  • Successful completion of background check.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • CPR, AED, and First AID certification. (training provided within 30 days upon hire).

Position Expectations and Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and assist with the implementation of specific camp programming daily.
  • Maintain a safe and engaging environment for all campers.
  • Attend all regularly scheduled staff meetings.
  • Serve as an appropriate role model for the children at the Club.
  • Report any safety issues immediately to the supervisor.
  • Perform administrative record-keeping including attendance, sign-in/out sheets, and accident/incident and behavior reports.
  • Maintain a courteous, polite, and helpful relationship with all Members and guests.
  • Assist with all lesson running of campers participating in other sports and activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
