Job description

Job Title: Business Lecturer (Part-Time, 0.5)

The School of Vocational and Technical Studies (VTS) at South Thames College is seeking an experienced Business Lecturer to provide a first-class educational experience for students, enabling them to achieve qualifications at high levels and develop lasting learning and employability skills.

The role involves developing, initiating, and promoting innovative and quality improvement strategies, as well as supporting curriculum development with employer engagement and learner skills development.

Candidate Requirements:
  1. Degree or relevant professional qualification in an appropriate subject.
  2. Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
  3. Recent teaching experience in Business within an FE College.
  4. Strong knowledge of current frameworks for teaching, learning, assessment, and quality assurance.
  5. Proven record of effective tutoring, supporting learners, and setting and reviewing targets.
  6. Evidence of outstanding teaching, learning, assessment, and employer engagement.
  7. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  8. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, in group and interpersonal settings.

The successful candidate will be eligible for salary increases based on annual cost of living reviews.
