Job description

Join Our Maintenance Team in Wrexham
Mechanically Biased Production Maintenance Technicians - Multiple Opportunities Available

We are currently seeking skilled Mechanically Biased Production Maintenance Technicians to join our growing Maintenance team at our Wrexham facility.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair faults in medium to heavy industrial plant and machinery.

  • Perform preventative maintenance checks and inspections.

  • Develop and implement modifications to enhance plant and equipment reliability.

  • Collaborate effectively with both manufacturing and maintenance teams.

  • Communicate clearly and professionally across all levels.

  • Work within a continuous shift pattern, including overtime for holiday cover as required.

  • Ensure strict adherence to all Health & Safety protocols.

  • Safely lift and handle machinery components using appropriate techniques and equipment.



Qualifications & Experience:

  • Time-served engineer with EITB or equivalent Certificate of Craftsmanship.

  • Proficient in hydraulics and pneumatics.

  • Skilled in welding and brazing techniques.

  • Experienced in the rigging of unbalanced loads.

  • Knowledgeable in risk assessments, safety protocols, and machinery guarding legislation.

  • Familiarity with high-pressure steam systems.

  • Competent in MS Office or similar software.

  • Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings.

  • Minimum qualification: BTEC ONC in Mechanical Engineering.



Available Shift Patterns:

  • 2-Shift Pattern:
    Monday to Friday, rotating weekly between 7am-3pm and 2pm-10pm

  • 4-Shift Pattern:
    4 on / 4 off rotation (7am-7pm and 7pm-7am, Monday to Sunday)
