OCCUPIER ACCOUNTS / LOCATION FLEXIBLE
Lease Auditor / Senior Lease Auditor
Role Purpose

Working in the Lease Audit team within the larger Occupier Accounts team, the individual will be responsible for conducting lease audits for corporate clients to identify, negotiate, and recoup potential savings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical & Operational: Audit and reconcile all financial considerations including service charges, insurance recharges, base rent, turnover rent, works deposits, and capital allowances. Troubleshoot/dispute resolution through lease language regarding specific issues. Prepare lease audit reports. Communicate and negotiate with landlords. Work closely with legal departments. Lead recurring lease audit meetings. Supervise 3rd party auditors. Manage and prepare reports. Liaise with stakeholders. Conduct audits across regions with support as needed.
Business Development and Client Management
  • Participate in client solutioning and pitches. Manage client contracting discussions.
Business Management
  • Assist in setting up lease audit services globally. Share knowledge with team members. Support process improvements.
Person Specification/Requirements
  • Proficiency in English. Bachelor's degree. Proactive with strong problem-solving skills. Excellent communication. Familiar with lease terminology and legal documents. Understanding of service charge processes and RICS guidelines. Knowledge of real estate transactions. Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills. Attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure. Relationship management skills. Additional language skills beneficial. Lease auditing experience across regions advantageous.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or Real Estate with at least five years of commercial real estate experience. Property management or real estate accounting experience preferred.

Financial Knowledge

Advanced understanding of financial principles, complex calculations, and report preparation.
