Senior AWS Platform Engineer - £75,000 - £80,000 + Bonus + Benefits

JNC are working with a growing financial services client that are looking to bring on a senior platform engineer that has specific experience working with AWS.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on the clients core AWS Serverless Platforms and focus on their Design, Automation, Support and Optimization. Ensuring they are secure, scalable and efficient.

Responsibilities:

• Build and support serverless application architecture using products like Lambda, API Gateway, and Step Functions.
• Work closely with the team to implement and maintain AWS best Practises.
• Establish Cloud Governance policies and procedures.
• Work closely with Data Team on required platform integrations using data analytics tools like Redshift, Athena and Glue.
• Work closely with Technical Architects on Low Level designs and implementations in line with the companies policies.
• Work closely with the applications team ensuring monitoring requirements are in place (CloudWatch, Grafana), VPC/Route53/Certificate/Encryption/Authentication requirements are set up
• Provide technical expertise and support to the clients customer platforms.

Experience:

• Strong Python or Bash Scripting and automation skills.
• Strong Devops Principals knowledge and experience
• Strong Skills with IaC technology - Ideally CloudFormation.
• Broad experience across AWS products.
• Strong skills and experience with suite of services and tools that address security, identity, management, governance, and compliance within AWS. Control Tower, IAM, AWS Organisations, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager, Key Management Service, WAF & Shield, Certificate Manager, Cognito
• Strong skills and experience with AWSs network infrastructure like API Gateways, VPCs, Transit Gateways, Route 53, and CloudFront.
• Strong skills and experience with Storage and Compute technologies like EC2, S3, FSx and EFS.
