Grade UE08: £49,559 to £60,907 per annum


Location: CMVM / MGPHS / USHER Institute, Edinburgh Bioquarter


Full-time: 35 hours per week


Contract: Fixed-term for 12 months


The Edinburgh Clinical Trials Unit (ECTU) at the Usher Institute within The University of Edinburgh seeks an Information Technology and Governance Team Lead. This role involves leading the technology infrastructure to support clinical research projects, ensuring governance and compliance.


Hybrid working options are considered, combining remote and on-campus work, with a minimum of 40% on-site presence.

The Opportunity:

The Team Lead is a key member of the ECTU Senior Operational Management Team, responsible for managing systems and software, and ensuring governance and strategic compliance.

Your Skills and Attributes for Success:

  • Experience leading technical teams within complex organizations.
  • Excellent communication skills across media.
  • Strong judgment, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of IG, Caldicott principles, and GCP.
  • Proficiency with database systems and healthcare data management.
