Yokogawa Marex has an exciting opportunity for a graduate frontend software developer with experience in user interface development.

Reporting to the Software Development Manager, as a graduate frontend developer in our software development team, you will have a Bachelor level degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar, from university or with one to two years of experience in a web-focused software development environment.

You will develop web applications and be responsible for designing and implementing complex software components, adhering to quality processes to deliver high-quality, responsive applications that meet customer requirements.

You should have a technical background and understanding of the software development lifecycle, with experience in design, implementation, and testing.

Yokogawa Marex, a division of Yokogawa UK Limited, specializes in developing and delivering software solutions that provide valuable insights and actionable information to operate facilities effectively, efficiently, and safely in a sustainable and profitable manner.

Responsibilities

• Create and review requirements, functional and design specifications for complex frontend solutions.
• Collaborate with project managers to deliver high-quality frontend development projects.
• Develop, modify, and review frontend components in line with specifications and quality standards.
• Design and develop tests, including automated unit tests, to meet quality metrics.
• Diagnose and resolve frontend issues, including usability and coding problems.
• Optimize technology use in software development.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar.
• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Enthusiastic, with excellent communication skills, customer-focused, problem solver, detail-oriented, team player.
• Familiar with Windows and Office.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with ASP.NET Core, Vue, React, or Angular.
• Experience with Visual Studio, DevOps, GitHub.
• Knowledge of modern frontend build tools like Webpack or Vite.
• Experience with SQL databases.
• Awareness of current technology trends.
