Purpose of The Job
Providing leadership, management, and development of a defined contract, ensuring financial and operational commitments are met and exceeded.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to ensure contractual commitments are met and exceeded.
- Communicate and implement business policies and processes within the contract.
- Ensure a healthy and safe working environment in line with client and company policies, and that CBRE services and subcontractors adhere to these policies.
- Act as a change agent driving hospitality-led FM through the service delivery model.
- Ensure the site is staffed by competent teams with effective succession planning.
- Maintain site health and safety standards and uphold a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other operational managers to develop the business, support team working, and assist colleagues.
- Develop financial plans for cost management, reduction of WIP and debt, and contract growth, ensuring targets are met.
- Implement control systems to meet statutory, policy, and contractual commitments.
- Maintain a customer-focused approach and effective relationships with key client contacts.
- Promote and uphold CBRE's core values.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and support to deliver best practices in team management.
- Communicate effectively through meetings, reports, and other publications.
- Ensure training and development plans are in place for staff to reach their potential.
Accountabilities
- Report to the Campus General Manager.
- Accountable to CBRE functional heads and relevant client contacts.
- Manage the contract team and indirectly oversee subcontractors.
- Handle financial responsibilities for the contract's costs.
Person Specification
Education
- Basic education, including GCSEs in English and Maths (A-C).
- Trade qualifications and leadership experience.
- IOSH or equivalent H&S qualification.
Experience
- Experience in M&E building maintenance.
- Understanding of current health & safety standards.
- Management experience.
Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- IT literacy in Word, Excel, Outlook, and client systems.
- Report writing skills.
