Director of Business Development EMEA - Hotels+Leisure Channel

Job Description

The Director of Business Development EMEA - Hotels+Leisure Channel will grow new strategic partnerships, drive sales and manage key customer relationships through strong team management (remote business development and sales managers in European markets). This person will track new market trends, recommend new products and services to customers, and drive the long-term commercial objectives for the development of the EMEA commercial business. Additionally, they will drive increased performance with the existing portfolio and build pipelines across new channels within the wider hotel, spa, leisure, and venue subsectors.

As well as managing the business development team, they will work across multiple functions and be heavily involved in commercial and strategic development for the business, based in the UK. This person will bring a wealth of relevant experience, a drive and passion for development, a track record of effective remote management, and will create a strong and harmonious working environment for the team, empowering their direct reports to set high standards and create a high-performing team for the client.

The Successful Applicant

The Director of Business Development EMEA - Hotels+Leisure Channel will come with the following skills and experiences:

  • Proven track record in sales and business development in the Hotel and Leisure channels
  • Strong track record of leadership and managing a commercial team
  • Experience in key account management and high-profile customer acquisitions
  • Track record of strong financial growth performance
  • Excellent ability to network and drive key commercial pipelines across multiple verticals
  • Experience managing high-profile customers across the UK and EMEA
  • Excellent financial, organizational, presentation, and commercial skills
  • Ability to report and forecast on a regular basis to the senior board
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet key KPIs, and prioritize key decision-making
  • Extremely positive, driven, and passionate character who supports and empowers their team

Location

We are open on location, ideally in England, but all UK locations for relevant candidates can be considered.
