Wayman Education is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Year 5 Teacher to join a reputable ‘Good’ one-form primary school in Hammersmith & Fulham, West London. The successful candidate will be passionate about education and have a proven track record of delivering excellent teaching in a Year 5 setting. Aside from that, the successful Year 5 Teacher will work collaboratively with the school team to ensure all students receive a positive and engaging learning experience.

The School

This is a vibrant and exceptional one-form entry school in Hammersmith & Fulham. It is easily accessible by public transport and is seeking to appoint a qualified Primary teacher from March 2024. Responsibilities of a Year 5 Teacher:

1. Responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 2, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.
2. Teach the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children while focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses.
3. Further develop maths ability and introduce fractions, statistics, and geometry.
4. Help children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories.
5. Keep track of children's progress and occasionally report back to parents.
6. Create a positive learning environment that is both safe and conducive for learning.
7. Collaborate with school management, teaching staff, and parents to provide quality academic support for Year 5 students.

Year 5 Teacher Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree or above in Education or a related field.
2. Teaching qualification and QTS.
3. At least 2 years of experience in teaching Year 5 students.
4. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
5. Passion for working with children and a commitment to providing high-quality education.
6. Ability to create and present engaging and interactive lesson plans.
7. Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and school staff.
