Accounts Assistant - Central Manchester

About Our Client

Our client is a fast-growing tech business who are looking to add ambitious professionals to their team. The business is based in central Manchester and offers hybrid working and an excellent culture including lots of room to grow & progress with the business.

Job Description

Accounts Assistant duties include:

  1. Processing supplier invoices.
  2. Processing expenses.
  3. Supplier statement reconciliations.
  4. Preparation and processing of weekly, fortnightly and monthly payment runs.
  5. Issuing invoices and statements to customers.
  6. Requesting remittances.
  7. Daily bank reconciliations.
  8. Monthly statement reconciliations.
  9. Support the preparation of monthly management accounts.
  10. Assist with VAT returns.
  11. Assist with audits.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Accounts Assistant candidate will:

  1. Be studying AAT / ACA / ACCA / CIMA.
  2. Have a proven track record in a similar role.
  3. Have excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  4. Have good working knowledge of MS Excel (Vlookups, Pivot Tables etc).
  5. Be able to work alone and as part of a team.
  6. Be able to work to tight deadlines.
