Job description

Hudson Shribman are working with a client, due to continued growth are looking to expand their accounts team. They are looking for an energetic individual as an Accounts Assistant to join their fast-paced environment.

Location: Letchworth Garden City

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 (depending on experience)

The Role for an Accounts Assistant:

To support the Finance department, working closely with the Accounts Manager. Responsible for helping to efficiently run the Finance department and contribute to any other ad-hoc admin duties required.

Main Responsibilities for the Accounts Assistant:

  1. Credit Card Reconciliation
  2. Company Expenses
  3. Process of supplier invoices
  4. Payment of supplier invoices
  5. Resolving invoice queries with suppliers
  6. Reconciling supplier statements
  7. Credit control - Chasing overdue invoices
  8. Creating Sales ledger invoices
  9. Petty cash processing
  10. Managing incoming emails and post
  11. General ad hoc office duties

Qualifications & Experience & Attributes for the Accounts Assistant:

  1. Desired Attribute, but not essential - Sage 50 System & Sage 200
  2. Solid office experience in an accounting role
  3. Proficient in the use of Excel & other MS applications
  4. Attention to detail
  5. Good Numerical acumen
  6. Excellent organisation / prioritisation ability
  7. Ability to work on own initiative
  8. Able to work as part of a team
