Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for an experienced nursing leader in our busy Emergency Department. You will take a lead role in coordinating, planning and delivering patient care with the multidisciplinary team and ensure smooth operation in the absence of the department leader.

The role requires 3+ years in ED, registered nurse with relevant qualifications, and commitment to compassionate, high-quality care with opportunities for development and flexible

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with UK registration.
  • APLS/ALS course required.
  • PGD or equivalent qualification.
  • Recognised Triage Qualification is essential.
  • Lower limb X-ray training or equivalent.
  • TiLS/PLS or Adult BLS desirable.
  • Degree in nursing or equivalent.
  • Leadership course/experience an advantage.
  • ALS/APLS for paediatric/adult roles may be required.
  • Manchester Triage System exposure beneficial.

Job overview

We are recruiting for adult nursing Sisters/Charge Nurses within our highly performing Emergency Department . It is a very busy and exciting time to join us as we continuously develop services in our purpose built Urgent & Emergency Care Department .

Main duties of the job

As a skilled and valued member of our team, you willtake a lead role in the coordination, planning and delivery of individual care provided by the multidisciplinary team in the department by ensuring the effective management of the department in the absence of the department leader. Provide professional nursing leadership, guidance, and clinical advice to staff members.

Assist in the effective operational management of the department and flow of patients within the hospital, concentrating on the provision of quality care for patients.
