Job summary

Academics is recruiting an Early Career Teacher (ECT) for secondary schools across South London starting in September. You will join supportive environments with structured mentoring, an induction programme, and ongoing professional development while teaching your chosen subject.

We are hiring across a range of subjects, with opportunities for Key Stage 3–4 and some schools offering Key Stage 5 exposure. This is a long-term, permanent pathway through Academics.

Qualifications

• QTS or pending QTS completion.
• Degree and subject specialism relevant to secondary education.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Passion for inspiring young people.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Inspire and motivate students across Key Stage 3 and 4, with Key Stage 5 opportunities in some schools.
• Assess, monitor and support student progress.
• Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with mentors and wider school staff.
