Overview:

GSL Education is seeking a motivated Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join a primary school in Ashington. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum and build strong relationships within the school community.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum for your key stage.
  2. Create a safe, stimulating classroom environment.
  3. Plan, assess, and adapt lessons to meet individual pupil needs.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to promote pupil progress and well-being.
  5. Implement positive behaviour management strategies.
  6. Participate in ongoing professional development and mentoring as part of your induction.
  7. Engage with parents/carers and contribute to school events.
Requirements:
  1. Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and be recognized as an Early Career Teacher.
  2. Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and current educational practices.
  3. Passionate about teaching and committed to high-quality education.
  4. Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
  5. Proactive and reflective approach to professional development.
  6. Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
