We are looking for a new Early Career Teacher (ECT) to start in September 2025 in the Finchley area!

Main roles and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in planning and staff meetings.
  • Teach all pupils in your class according to the National Curriculum.
  • Adapt lessons to meet the specific needs of each child.
  • Complete records and assessments as per school policy.
  • Utilize ICT to enhance learning.
  • Organize resources to be accessible, well-labelled, and appropriate.
  • Encourage pupil involvement in self and peer assessments.
  • Employ a variety of teaching styles to ensure high standards of learning, behaviour, and progress.
  • Attend assessment, progression, development meetings, and parents' evenings.
  • Build positive relationships with parents.
  • Prepare pupils for the next academic year.
  • Collaborate with colleagues regarding pupil needs.
  • Operate within school policies.
  • Lead classes through lectures, demonstrations, and discussions.
  • Assign homework to reinforce skills.
