Your Role and Responsibilities

As an Early Career Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, challenging, and differentiated lessons in your specialist subject across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE), with opportunities for Key Stage 5 teaching as you develop.

  • Inspire students to develop a strong understanding and passion for your subject.

  • Utilise a variety of effective teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.

  • Assess student progress regularly, providing timely, constructive feedback and contributing to student reports.

  • Actively engage with your mentor and participate fully in the ECT induction programme.

  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school community, including acting as a form tutor.
