ECT KS2 Class Teacher Required - Solihull area

Your new school

At Hays, we are looking for a dedicated and eager ECT for KS2 to join our team at Hays from September 2025 within the Solihull area. The perfect candidate for this role will create a positive and engaging learning environment, where each child feels supported and can reach their full academic potential, ensuring they are fully equipped for the next stages of their academic journey. When partnering with Hays, you will work with a dedicated consultant who understands the local market and will take the time to understand your goals and aspirations.

Your new role

  • Be available to start in September 2025, 5 days a week, based in the Solihull area.
  • Follow the school’s behaviour policy.
  • Have a strong grasp and understanding of the KS2 curriculum.
  • Plan, prepare, and mark lessons.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress.
  • Create a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Hold relevant qualifications such as QTS, PGCE, or ECT.
  • Maintain good communication with staff, students, and parents.
  • Participate in staff meetings, inset days, and school events.

What you’ll need to succeed in this role

To succeed, you must have a confident understanding of the KS2 curriculum and be able to provide tailored support to ensure each child's progress. Creating a calming, inclusive environment where children feel valued and motivated is essential. Clear communication with staff, students, and parents, along with adherence to behaviour policies and high expectations, is crucial. You should plan and deliver stimulating lessons, stay on top of marking and assessments, and support each child's academic growth with a flexible and passionate teaching approach.
