Job DescriptionWe are seeking an Ecologist / ECOW to join our Ecology team. Our team supports major commercial developments and infrastructure projects by providing surveys, assessments, site support, biodiversity net gain, and urban greening evaluations.
Initially, we need a Graduate/Assistant Ecologist to support the construction of High Speed 2. You will assess, manage, and monitor ecological constraints, providing ecological advice to ensure compliance during construction.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting ecological surveys before site clearance
- Monitoring protected and notable species on site
- Investigating ecological incidents and reporting
- Liaising with client's environmental and project teams
- Managing ecological risks proactively
- Delivering Toolbox Talks and ecological briefings
- Attending ECoW meetings and implementing actions
- Participating in site meetings to understand the works program
- Supporting ecological data analysis and reporting
- Contributing to continuous improvement of ecological practices on site
- Assisting in business development activities
QualificationsRelevant degree in ecology or related field.
