Job summary

Clarence Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic Economics Teacher to join a thriving school in Lincoln. The role focuses on delivering Economics at Key Stage 5 within a supportive Sixth Form and Business Studies department.

You will help shape future economists and business professionals in a high-achieving environment. The successful candidate will have QTS or be working towards it, a degree in Economics, and the ability to motivate students across abilities.

Qualifications

• QTS (or working towards QTS) required.
• Degree in Economics or closely related discipline.
• Experience teaching Economics at secondary or post-16 level; ECTs encouraged to apply.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and challenging Economics lessons, primarily at Key Stage 5.
• Inspire students to understand economic theories and global issues.
• Encourage independent thinking, analytical skills and debate.
• Prepare students for examinations with strong classroom practice.
• Use assessments to monitor progress and drive achievement.
• Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities.
• Support students with higher education and career aspirations in economics, finance, and related fields.
