Are you an enthusiastic Economics Teacher looking for a rewarding new role?

A large, welcoming secondary school in Redbridge is seeking an Economics Teacher to deliver A-level (KS5) lessons following the AQA Economics curriculum. You may also be asked to support with Business Studies or related subjects at KS4.

The school is seeking an enthusiastic Economics teacher with experience of teaching A-level Economics who can deliver engaging lessons to inspire students so they can apply economic theory to real-world situations.

What Students Study
  • Year 12: Students begin by developing core knowledge of both microeconomics and macroeconomics. They explore how businesses, markets, and the wider economy operate, analyse supply and demand, pricing, and market structures, and consider the causes of market failure.
  • Year 13: Students deepen their knowledge by analysing government policies, international trade, and financial markets. They study macroeconomic performance and policy, exploring key questions such as: How can government policies boost growth? What factors shape trade? Should interest rates rise or fall?
Person Specification
  • Experienced teacher/lecturer with proven ability to deliver the AQA A-level Economics curriculum.
  • Strong academic background in Economics or a related discipline.
  • Ability to inspire, challenge, and support students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to developing students independence, analytical skills, and ability to apply theory in context.
