Overview

Economic Regeneration Team Manager

Are you the kind of person that is passionate about place? Do you want to play a pivotal role in delivering regeneration across the towns and villages of North West Leicestershire? If so, our Economic Regeneration Team Manager role may be the opportunity you have been waiting for.

We are a diverse district with a population of around 108,000 sitting between the three cities of Leicester, Nottingham and Derby. We have great growth, and our challenge is to ensure our towns and villages evolve and renew.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of 12, empowering them to support the delivery of projects set out within the Regeneration Framework while ensuring quality, cost and timescales are met.
  • Act as an ambassador for the Council when working with external partners.
Qualifications
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline such as economics, land use planning or surveying.
  • Member of (or eligible for) the Institute of Economic Development, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or Royal Town Planning Institute.
  • Significant experience of working in urban and rural regeneration projects leading a team of professionals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to be innovative and meet challenging deadlines.
Remuneration and Benefits
  • 36¼ hours per week with an annual salary of £52,413 - £56,687 plus car allowance of £4,140 per annum
  • Agile working scheme with a combination of home and office working
  • 34 days holiday (including bank holidays) increasing to 38 days after 5 years (full time equivalent)
  • Attractive Local Government Pension Scheme with at least 25% employer’s contribution
