Bromsgrove District Council and Redditch Borough Council invite applications for an Economic Policy & Intelligence Officer. This role provides intelligence and evidence to shape economic growth, regeneration and employment initiatives in North Worcestershire.

The officer will lead policy development, analyse data, produce dashboards and reports, and build relationships with businesses and stakeholders to translate national priorities into local action.

Qualifications

• Experience in policy development and translating priorities into local action plans.
• Strong understanding of economic analysis and labour market intelligence.
• Ability to present findings clearly to diverse audiences.
• Experience collaborating with public, private and voluntary sectors.
• Proven report-writing and briefing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead policy development across economic growth, employment, skills and related programmes.
• Analyse economic and labour market data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Produce intelligence reports, dashboards, forecasts and impact assessments.
• Develop evidence-based recommendations to support growth and employment.
• Engage with businesses, education providers and regional organisations.
• Interpret government guidance and funding opportunities for local strategies.
• Prepare reports, briefings and presentations for senior managers and partners.
