Pagefield seeks an outstanding Economic Analyst to join our team in London. You will focus on economic research, modelling and producing analysis for diverse sectors, supporting client campaigns and advocacy activity.

You will translate complex economic issues into clear materials while collaborating across public affairs, corporate communications and digital teams. A structured development path and exposure to senior colleagues are offered in a fast-growing agency.

Qualifications

  • A relevant degree in Economics, Statistics, or Data Science.
  • Some prior work experience and strong references preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support economic research, modelling and analysis projects across a range of client sectors and policy areas.
  • Analyse quantitative datasets, polling and public research sources to identify trends, insights and policy implications.
  • Help prepare research reports, presentations and evidence-based content to support client campaigns and advocacy activity.
  • Assist in translating complex economic and policy issues into clear, accessible and engaging communications materials.
  • Develop knowledge of UK economic policy, regulation and political developments relevant to client sectors.

# Economic Analyst* Careers* ShareWednesday 09th September### **ROLE OVERVIEW**Pagefield Group are looking for an outstanding Economic Analyst, with an emphasis on economic research capabilities, to join our talented and growing team of 60+ consultants. The role will support our expanding portfolio of clients across a wide range of sectors including technology, financial services, transport, FMCG, property, infrastructure and not-for-profit.As an Economic Analyst, the majority of your time will be focused on producing new analysis and economic modelling to provide research content for our evidence-based activity, resulting in research reports, client presentations and events. In order to provide you with a rounded experience of the wider Pagefield business, outside of our economic function, you will support our work for both clients and new business opportunities across a range of industries. This is a generalist entry-level role, offering exposure to corporate communications, media relations, public affairs and digital communications. Alongside honing your skills and experience in economic analysis, you’ll have the opportunity to build a broad foundation in strategic communications, while developing skills in research, content creation, digital channels and campaign delivery. As such, you’ll be expected to undertake responsibilities that fall within the Junior Executive job description. You can expect structured development from day one: formal training sessions,regular feedback and exposure to senior colleagues across the business.You’ll join client calls and internal meetings early on to observe, learn and contribute. You will need to embody each of these values, seeking out ways to showcase these within your role, whether that be through investing time into networking, enquiring about additional training to be able to contribute more to creative and strategic conversations or offering mentoring opportunities to other colleagues.### **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES****Economic Research & Analysis*** Support economic research, modelling and analysis projects across a range of client sectors and policy areas* Analyse quantitative datasets, polling and public research sources to identify trends, insights and policy implications* Help prepare research reports, presentations and evidence-based content to support client campaigns and advocacy activity* Assist in translating complex economic and policy issues into clear, accessible and engaging communications materials* Develop knowledge of UK economic policy, regulation and political developments relevant to client sectors* Work collaboratively with colleagues across public affairs, corporate communications and digital teams to support integrated client campaigns**Client Delivery & Support*** Providing insightful research, analysis notes, media coverage and reports to support client projects, campaign planning and new business efforts* Monitor media and political developments relevant to client sectors and briefs* Draft briefing notes, media lists, stakeholder grids, and meeting notes* Produce intelligence briefings for key moments in the calendar* Help coordinate activity trackers, calendars, reports and updates across client teams* Assist with the preparation of written materials such as stakeholder lists, contact reports, client materials and press releases* Support and attend company and client events**Media, Politics & Digital*** Support the delivery of content for client communication campaigns, including digital and social media activity* Proactive and timely media monitoring, market intelligence and horizon scanning, building your own understanding of sectors, audiences and influencers* Help prepare media and stakeholder contact lists for outreach and engagement* Assist with tracking campaign performance and media coverage* Supporting the team with digital communications activity, such as social media monitoring, content research and creation, and performance tracking (training provided)**Team & Collaboration*** Contribute to internal meetings, brainstorms and creative sessions* Carry out administrative tasks including updating Work-In-Progress reports, minutes and action logs* Work closely with team members across all levels to support project delivery* Take an active part in agency initiatives including training sessions and team development**New Business & Brand Support*** Assist with research and preparation for new business proposals and pitches* Help produce and format pitch decks and background materials* Contribute ideas during brainstorms and help gather campaign inspiration and insights* Help build and maintain Pagefield’s brand presence and marketing* Building your internal and external networks and developing your networking skills### **KEY SKILLS & EXPERTISE**The ideal candidate will have:* Strong grounding in microeconomics and macroeconomics.* Ability to interpret and analyse datasets; familiarity with statistical techniques.* Competence in Excel; growing capability or interest R, Python.* Experience working with public datasets.* Ability to build models, forecast trends, and conduct scenario analyses.* The candidate needs to be familiar working with quantitative datasets, statistical analysis and big data, most often from government and industry sources.
