Overview

As an Ecommerce Writer you will be responsible for producing engaging commerce content within TalkSport. You will be a brilliant writer with ideas and knowledge from your chosen specialism, with some digital newsroom experience and a fundamental understanding of SEO and affiliates. You will write and commission content for your vertical within TalkSport and TalkSport’s shopping section, ensuring all copy follows Ecommerce best practices while driving traffic and revenue. You will contribute ideas to our strategic content plans and participate in relevant training. You will support monetising content outside the shopping section and collaborate with wider editorial teams when necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Create trending content based on daily SEO trends and affiliate data to understand what is selling and converting readers
  • Manage and oversee the work of freelancers — check copy and ensure affiliate links are correctly applied
  • Develop content plans for evergreen themes relevant to your vertical using data insights and SEO, maintain existing content and generate new ideas
  • Help create/commission/update reviews based on SEO insights and guidelines
  • Assist Partnerships team with ad-hoc editorial tasks relevant to your vertical
What we’re looking for

  • Good knowledge of SEO and Discover trends

  • Knowledge of the IPSO Code of Conduct, media law and ethical considerations
