As the George.com Activity & Proposition Manager, you will lead and oversee the execution of all digital activity, promotions, campaigns, and events for George.com. Additionally, you will provide strategic oversight of the online proposition to ensure a best-in-class customer experience. You will play a key role in ensuring that the activity and online proposition teams deliver a seamless, customer-focused, and commercially successful online experience. Partnering with the relevant multidisciplinary teams across George and ASDA, you will shape and drive the digital marketing, site experience, and events strategy based on customer insight, business priorities, and performance data.
This is a fast-paced, dynamic role where you will be expected to drive innovation, maintain commercial agility, and ensure that George.com continues to thrive as a leading UK fashion and homeware e-commerce retailer.
- Be an expert on our online customer and competitor landscape, understand behaviour to build relevant activity plans that maximise commercial benefit, focusing on customer acquisition, retention, and brand loyalty.
- Ensure alignment between George.com activities and the broader George and ASDA business objectives.
- Oversee the development and execution of the George.com website activity & creative plan, ensuring it aligns with customer insights, trading priorities, and brand moments.
- Oversee the planning and execution of key promotional events, ensuring commercial success.
- Create and manage the George.com monetisation strategy working with our external partners. Being responsible for driving revenue growth, optimising pricing models, and expanding monetisation opportunities on the website. Building out campaigns that are relevant & compelling for our customer.
- Be responsible for the end-to-end proposition across the George.com website, setting the strategy and looking for opportunities to optimise and improve the website through technology solutions e.g. AI, new payment solutions or website functionality.
- Working with the online proposition coordinator to be the central point of contact for the Technical Product teams across the business helping to shape and deliver the development roadmap for George.com.
- Be the key stakeholder representing Ecommerce in Product tech meetings/squads across the business. Working with product/experimentation teams on 1–3-year strategy, feeding in all the ecommerce requirements, supporting prioritisation of roadmaps and business cases, through to delivery.
- Research and engage potential new vendors for tech innovation for the website, including vendor meetings, business cases and process mapping.
- Stay abreast of industry and competitor technology advancements, customer insight and market data, then use this to shape the George.com innovation strategy.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract.

- Proven experience in a digital marketing, e-commerce, or retail activity management role.
- Strong leadership and team management experience, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Commercially minded with a strong understanding of digital retail trading, customer behaviour, and online merchandising.
- Proficient in using data and analytics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Experience managing stakeholder relationships across various business functions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- An innovative mindset and passion for technology.
