We are looking for an experienced, commercially minded Ecommerce Manager to join our Digital team on a maternity cover contract. Reporting to the Head of Ecommerce, you will lead day-to-day website trading, deliver seamless customer experiences, and drive online growth through strong trading instincts, technical problem-solving, and creative brand storytelling.

This is a hands-on and varied role, covering everything from trading and campaign launches to optimisation, analysis, and briefing in new functionality with our Shopify agency. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working across both the commercial and technical sides of ecommerce and wants to make a real impact in a fast-growing interiors brand.

This role is a 9-12 month fixed term contract.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As Ecommerce Manager, you will be responsible for optimising our online performance across the UK site. You’ll oversee trading, content, SEO, and merchandising tools, while also supporting technical integrations and operational problem-solving. You’ll manage one direct report and collaborate closely with merchandising, marketing, operations, and creative teams to deliver seasonal campaigns, promotions, and new product launches.

Trading & Conversion

  • Lead day-to-day trading of the UK website, ensuring products and content are accurate, inspiring, and optimised for conversion.
  • Own ecommerce KPIs (conversion, AOV, traffic, bounce/exit rates) and deliver actionable insights.
  • Partner with merchandising and supply teams to manage product lifecycle, availability, and trading opportunities.

Content, SEO & Merchandising Tools

  • Brief and coordinate homepage updates, landing pages, and digital assets with design, copy, and SEO teams.
  • Maintain consistency in brand storytelling and luxury presentation across all pages.
  • Support SEO performance through optimised site structure, content briefs, and collaboration with SEO partners.
  • Manage and optimise Advanced Commerce, our Search & Merch tool, to deliver effective search results, personalised recommendations, and strong merchandising rules.

Campaigns & Promotions

  • Manage seasonal campaigns, promotions, and new product launches, ensuring flawless on-site execution.
  • Collaborate with marketing and CRM to align campaigns across channels.
  • Implement A/B testing to optimise UX and promotional performance.

Analytics & Optimisation

  • Analyse customer journeys, site performance, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
  • Run tests, track results, and implement improvements to enhance UX and conversion.

B2B (Trade) Site Support

  • Help maintain and update the Trade instance of our Shopify platform, ensuring product and content accuracy.
  • Support content changes and promotional activity tailored for B2B customers.

Technical & Operational Support

  • Act as the first line of problem-solving for ecommerce issues, including stock discrepancies, order flow, and site performance.
  • Support integrations between Shopify and other business systems (ERP, CRM, finance).
  • Brief in new functionality and fixes to our Shopify development agency, ensuring requirements are clear and timelines are met.
  • Carry out site audits and testing to ensure a smooth and reliable customer experience.

Team Leadership

  • Manage, coach, and develop one direct report within the ecommerce team.
  • Foster collaboration across merchandising, marketing, and creative functions.

ABOUT YOU

You will be an agile, hands-on ecommerce professional with both trading instincts and technical confidence. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, balancing commercial performance with troubleshooting and delivery.

  • 4+ years’ experience in ecommerce management, ideally within premium or luxury retail.
  • Strong track record of delivering digital sales growth and optimising online performance.
  • Hands-on experience with ecommerce platforms (Shopify Plus preferred) plus GA4.
  • Experience managing on-site search, recommendations, and merchandising tools.
  • Confident in problem-solving technical issues, working with integrations, and briefing agencies on new functionality.
  • Proven analytical ability with confidence turning data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities to tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Creative eye for online merchandising, UX, and brand storytelling.
  • Positive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for interiors and the OKA brand.
  • Line management experience preferred.
