eCommerce Finance Manager

We’re seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to oversee the financial operations of our eCommerce business. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, generating timely profit and loss statements, and providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for managing the entire financial reporting process, from daily cash flow tracking to monthly management reports.

Role Summary:

The ideal candidate will manage financial records, produce financial statements, and collaborate with various teams to optimize financial performance and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Establish and maintain accurate, up-to-date bookkeeping in Xero / QuickBooks.
2. Track daily and weekly sales, expenses, and profitability.
3. Produce weekly and monthly P&L statements and financial summaries.
4. Reconcile bank accounts, payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal), and advertising spend (e.g., Meta, Google).
5. Manage accounts payable and receivable.
6. Collaborate with operations and marketing teams to monitor costs and margins.
7. Support forecasting and budgeting based on historical data.
8. Liaise with accountants for tax filings, VAT/GST, and year-end reporting.
9. Proactively identify irregularities, overspending, or cash flow issues.
10. Improve reporting tools, spreadsheets, and dashboards continuously.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience in bookkeeping, finance, or accounting, preferably within eCommerce or DTC brands.
2. Strong knowledge of financial systems and tools (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, A2X, Google Sheets, Excel).
3. Understanding of eCommerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, etc.).
4. Knowledge of cash flow management, COGS tracking, and ad attribution.
5. High attention to detail with strong analytical and communication skills.
6. Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
