We are excited to announce an opportunity for an Ecologist to join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team at a CIEEM Registered Practice, with offices across the South of the UK. This full-time role is based in the Bath area!

Their team has extensive experience and expertise in conducting a variety of species surveys, including bats, badgers, otters, barn owls, dormice, reptiles, and botany. This is a fantastic opportunity to broaden your ecological knowledge and work on high-profile projects that make a real difference to the environment.

The Role Involves:
  1. Conducting a broad range of ecological surveys as well as habitat assessments and ecological impact assessments across a range of different sites.
  2. Ecological Report Writing: You will be responsible for producing high-quality, professional reports, including Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEAs), and Protected Species Risk Assessments (PRAs).
  3. Data collection and analysis, ensuring that all surveys and assessments are accurate, comprehensive, and meet regulatory standards.
Key Requirements:
  1. Prior experience working within an ecological consultancy setting, demonstrating a good understanding of industry practices and methodologies.
  2. Knowledge of Biodiversity Net Gain principles and the use of the metric.
  3. Experience in conducting a wide range of species surveys.
