Ecologist (BNG)

We are pleased to announce that we are working on an exciting opportunity for an Ecologist (BNG specialist) to join a leading consultancy in the Bristol area! This is a fantastic opportunity where you'd get the opportunity to support the delivery and development of services focused on biodiversity net gain and ecological reporting. They are a supportive team who work on a range of exciting projects across the South-West. This is predominantly a desk-based role with limited requirements to conduct surveys on site.

Responsibilities for this role include:
  1. Mapping, calculating, and reporting Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG).
  2. Preparing management plans and net gain strategies.
  3. Analysing and presenting survey and desktop ecological data.

Requirements include:
  1. Strong ability to use software such as QGIS and LandApp to present complex data.
  2. Experience in applying Biodiversity Net Gain best practices.
  3. Understanding of policy, legislation, and best practice standards in ecology.
