Job summary

Mott MacDonald in the UK is seeking an Ecologist to contribute across the full project life cycle, from initial design to implementation, and to influence scheme design and biodiversity best practices.

You will work with ecologists and engineers, explore biodiversity net gain, and enjoy opportunities for training, flexible working, and career development within the Mott MacDonald Bentley joint venture.

Qualifications

• A degree in Ecology (or directly related subject).
• Knowledge, understanding and experience of applying relevant guidance for surveys.
• Knowledge of assessing and implementing biodiversity net gain.
• A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region
• Protected species licence or working towards one

Responsibilities

• Engage in projects covering all phases of the life cycle from design to implementation.
• Influence scheme design and promotion of best practices.
• Collaborate with clients to develop biodiversity strategies.
• Work on diverse projects with ecologists and engineers on-site or in the office.
• Promote integrated solutions and innovative technology while maintaining quality.
