Job summary

Mott MacDonald’s Southampton Ecology Team seeks an experienced ecologist to lead, mentor, and deliver biodiversity advice across projects in the UK. You’ll work with the Regional Lead and UK Ecology Team Leader to manage utilisation, recruitment, and staff development, while progressing a broad portfolio of ecology assignments.

Qualifications

Degree in Ecology (or related subject) required.
Full Member of CIEEM or equivalent; Chartered status or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Proven experience in ecological consultancy.
Strong report writing and checker/reviewer skills.
Willingness to travel UK.

Responsibilities

Line manage Southampton Ecology Team and mentor staff.
Collaborate with Regional Lead and UK Ecology Team Leader on utilization and recruitment.
Contribute to projects across all stages of the life cycle and promote best practice.
