We are proudly representing our public sector client based in Sunderland. They are currently looking for an Ecologist to join their team. If you are interested and meet the person specification of the job role, please apply below.

The Job You’ll be Doing;

  • The Ecologist/Senior Ecologist will review planning application proposals and pre-application enquires, providing ecology advice to the Development Management team.
  • This will include considering Biodiversity Net Gain as part of development proposals.
  • Provide ecology advice on policy, strategy, and development matters to other officers within the company.
  • Site visits are not typically required; however, if needed, mileage allowance will be paid with prior agreement.

About You;

  • Qualified to degree level in a biological, environmental, or ecological discipline.
  • Full member or eligible to become a member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management or equivalent.
  • The hourly rate is based on the bottom of the Grade for an Ecologist and may be negotiable based on experience.
