The Company you will be working for;

We are proudly representing our public sector client based in Sunderland. They are currently looking for an Ecologist to join their team. If you are interested and meet the person specification of the job role, please apply below.

The Job Youll be Doing;

  • The Ecologist/Senior Ecologist will be required to review planning application proposals and pre-application enquires and provide ecology advice to the Development Management team on such proposals.
  • This will also include the requirement to consider Biodiversity Net Gain as part of any development proposals.
  • Provide ecology advice to other officers within the company on policy, strategy and development matters, as appropriate.
  • It is not anticipated that the role will require any site visits, however if these are required, mileage allowance will be paid - subject to agreement in advance that a site visit is necessary.

About You;

  • Qualified to degree level in a biological, environmental or ecological discipline.
  • Full member or eligibility to become a member of Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management or equivalent.
  • The hourly rate provided above is based on the bottom of the Grade for an Ecologist. This could be subject to negotiation based upon experience.
