Your new role
This company is looking for ecologists at varying stages of their careers. You will work on a large range of exciting projects, with the opportunity to be involved in all aspects from conception to completion. Main duties will vary depending on the level but could include:
- Protected species surveys and habitat surveys (bats, GCN, reptiles, badgers, otters, crayfish, birds, and dormice)
- Ecological impact assessments
- Habitat regulations assessments
- Preliminary ecological appraisals
- Biodiversity impact assessments
- Environmental/habitat management plans
- Providing mitigation through consultancy
- Habitat creation, restoration, and translocation
- Report writing
- Client liaising
What you'll need to succeed
- A degree in an environmental, ecology, or relevant field
- Experience in a consultancy setting
- Field/site-based experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of relevant UK legislation
- A holder of a protected species licence (or working towards)
- Associate or full membership in CIEEM (or working towards)
- Full UK driving licence
