Your new role

This company is looking for ecologists at varying stages of their careers. You will work on a large range of exciting projects, with the opportunity to be involved in all aspects from conception to completion. Main duties will vary depending on the level but could include:

• Protected species surveys and habitat surveys (bats, GCN, reptiles, badgers, otters, crayfish, birds, and dormice)
• Ecological impact assessments
• Habitat regulations assessments
• Preliminary ecological appraisals
• Biodiversity impact assessments
• Environmental/habitat management plans
• Providing mitigation through consultancy
• Habitat creation, restoration, and translocation
• Report writing
• Client liaising

What you'll need to succeed

• A degree in an environmental, ecology, or relevant field
• Experience in a consultancy setting
• Field/site-based experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of relevant UK legislation
• A holder of a protected species licence (or working towards)
• Associate or full membership in CIEEM (or working towards)
• Full UK driving licence
