Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd in Preston is seeking an Ecologist to join an established environmental consultancy. The role combines fieldwork with consultancy tasks across diverse projects, delivering practical ecological services.

You will conduct protected species surveys, habitat assessments and ecological appraisals, while preparing reports and supporting clients through planning processes. A relevant degree and UK driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
• Previous ecological consultancy experience is desirable.
• Experience undertaking ecological surveys and producing technical reports.
• Good understanding of UK wildlife legislation and planning processes.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Full right to work in the UK.
• Applicants must live in or near Preston or be willing to commute to the office.
